My husband Robert and I have made Modesto our home for 19 years. Robert is a family physician with Cornerstone Family Practice. Of our three children, one teaches English abroad, one attends UCLA, and the youngest is still a student in Modesto schools. After earning a B.S. Degree and certification in Occupational Therapy, I worked in the Bay area and Los Angeles before serving as a school volunteer and on the Board of Education. I have served as School Board President since December 2002. In addition to being an active parent, I currently volunteer in numerous community organizations, including Parent Institute for Quality Education, the Chamber of Commerce Education Committee, and the School Attendance and Review Board.
