Perspective and Plan for Manhattan Beach Schools I have been both a student and a teacher in the Manhattan Beach Unified School District. I know our wonderful schools from my own experience. I taught Government, U.S. History and Geography in the Manhattan Beach Unified School District for the past three years, after a successful career in law. I graduated from Robinson, Center Middle School and Mira Costa. My family has been part of this community since before I could walk, and my parents were actively involved in my education. As a teacher, I encourage my students' parents to support at home what I teach in the classroom. As a board member, I will work hard to ensure that parents remain a central part of the education process. To safeguard the tradition of excellence in our schools, I will advocate for the following:
