It has been a privilege to serve as the Area 1 representative on the Tahoe Truckee Unified School District Board of Trustees during the last three years. Our area has shown its support time and time again for the TTUSD system, and I deeply value that trust. I feel strongly that our schools must continue to move in a positive direction. We have a dedicated staff and student test scores are on the rise. Over my last term I have insisted on maintaining rigorous curriculum standards, and I will continue to fight for a prudent fiscal reserve for this district. I have more than 30 years experience in education, serving as a classroom teacher, counselor, and as a resource specialist. I have also worked as an educational software sales person, consultant, and trainer in the private sector. With this experience, I have learned first-hand what skills our students need to prepare them for the future. I am committed to working with our community to help our students succeed. With more than 4,300 students in the TTUSD system and millions of our taxpayer dollars in the balance, experience makes the difference. I would appreciate your vote in November.
