A CAREER OF BREAKING BARRIERSBy March Fong EuCandidate for Secretary of State; State of California; Democratic Party | |
This information is provided by the candidate |
I have spent my entire career opening the doors of opportunity for all Californians, regardless of gender, ethnicity, religion, age, etc. I'm not done yet!I have spent my entire career, both within and outside of public service, breaking barriers...opening the doors through which women and Americans of Asian ancestry increasingly are able to enter. By becoming Secretary of State, I will break another barrier...the barrier that discourages older Americans from continuing to contribute to the quality of life for all of us. By running and winning and being Secretary of State of California, I will be demonstrating that chronological age, by itself, is not a barrier to doing a job that needs to be done. This campaign is about making sure that California does not become a Florida, in terms of running elections, but it is also about opening the doors for older Americans to become all that they can be and want to be, in a society in which one's age should be irrelevant. EXPERIENCE COUNTS! Ultimately, this campaign is about ability, not age, because ability, not age, should determine who is elected to public office in America. In that regard, this is more than a campaign, it is a crusade. JOIN ME! |
