We Californians are not getting a good return on our "tax investment" in the state government. Politicians and bureaucrats are wasting much of our precious tax dollars, and many government services are inefficient, or actually harm those they were intended to help. We need to delegate much of the state bureaucracy to local governments, or more effective private organizations. We also need to end corporate welfare, and subsidies to special interest groups. The savings from these measures should be returned directly to the taxpayers in the form of rebates, and across-the-board tax rate cuts.
