My education and qualifications are well matched to the wide ranging responsibilities of the City Council. As a current member of the Council, I am familiar with the City's operations. I am a law school graduate. I have management experience in law and business libraries, where I was responsible for a $1 million plus budget and supervision of a large professional staff. Before joining the City Council, my volunteer activities included positions on the Civic Center Advisory, Capital Improvement Projects, Municipal Tax/Sewer Tax, Library Advisory and Ad Hoc Library Study Committees. I am currently chair of the Havens Parents Club Garden and Grounds committee, and a Havens classroom and library volunteer. In 1999, I was on the planning committee for the first Harvest Festival. I have been a member of the Highlands Preschool Board. This fall, I qualified as a licensed soccer referee and began my career officiating in the under-10 girls division. My family and I have lived in Piedmont since 1990. While much of my "professional" efforts are devoted to raising our daughters, both of whom attend Piedmont public schools, I have the time and energy to devote to the many issues that face our community.
