WE NEED TO RUN THE DISTRICT LIKE THE $70 MILLION BUSINESS THAT IT IS, BUT WE MUST ALWAYS REMEMBER THAT THE FINAL PRODUCT IS THE CHILDREN!

FIRST, the Board must restore faith and trust among all community members, not just the 35% of voters who have children served by Sycamore Schools.

SECOND, we are blessed to have a very strong tax base, particularly in Blue Ash, which affords us the luxury of hiring top teaching talent.

THIRD, taxpayers deserve stronger fiscal and strategic oversight from the Board.

FINALLY, the fundamental key to Sycamore's success must continue to be the pyramid of PARENT-CHILD-TEACHER.

======

My top priority is to totally reinstitute the "Honors" level at both the Junior High and High School, in Language Arts, Mathematics, Social Studies, and Science. This costs taxpayers NOTHING and can easily be implemented for the 2002-2003 School Year. The Honors level addresses the needs of a significant segment of the student population. Further restructuring of the grade-weighting and class-ranking system also needs to be instituted, to ensure fairness.
