Board Member; Modesto Elementary & High School Districts

Nancy and her husband, Rex, have lived in Modesto for 23 years. They have three children who have been educated in the Modesto City Schools system. Their oldest son, Chad, completed the International Baccalaureate (IB) program at Modesto High and is currently enrolled at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo. A graduate of Grace Davis High, Paige-Marie attends Modesto Junior College. Tim is a senior in the IB program at Modesto High.

After earning a B.S. degree in Home Economics and Communications, Nancy worked in advertising/marketing in the Modesto area. For the past decade she has been employed as a substitute teacher in Modesto City Schools. Her husband, Rex, is a Deputy Coroner for the Stanislaus County Sheriff's Department.

Nancy has worked consistently in our public schools during the past decade and a half - for 12 years as a substitute teacher and also as a parent volunteer. She has been a yard-duty supervisor, substitute teacher's aide, and PTA officer, as well as serving on parent committees and booster clubs for both academics and sports. Not only has Nancy worked with our youth in the public school arena, she has volunteered for 7 years in church youth work both as a mentor and a camp counselor.
