Professional

Cynthia Brock has a Bachelor of Arts in Communications Design from the University of Illinois. After moving to Goleta she worked in the Technical Publications Department at Delco Electronics for 15 years as a graphic designer, technical illustrator, and department manager.

She is a past-president of the Santa Barbara Chapter of the Society for Technical Communication, an international professional organization for technical writers and artists. She served for four years on its board of directors and is an Associate Fellow of the Society.

Personal

She is married to UCSB anthropology professor Phillip Walker. She has one daughter, Melissa, who attended Dos Pueblos High School and currently lives with her husband and children in Michigan.
