I have lived in Butler County for approximately 20 years. I am married to a wonderful wife Susan and have a great 11 year old son Josh. I am a graduate of Moeller High School and a Cum Laude graduate of Southern Ohio Collage with a degree in Robotics. I am proud to say that I am a member of the International Association of Machinist and Aerospace Workers (IAM). For the past 12 years I have traveled all over the country and world installing and servicing multi-million dollar automated equipment. In November of 1998 I decided it was time to get off the road and spend some quality time with my family. The plan was to take a year off. I became very active in my sons education and concerned about the Fairfield School Districts proficiency problems. My concern was so great that I ran for Fairfield City School Board in 1999. Although not successful with this effort, it afforded me the opportunity to gain experience in campaigning and more importantly, to discuss important issues regarding education in our district. Community involvement has been a way of life for me. I am a Central Committee member of the Butler County Democratic party, and am currently serving as Fairfield Regional Chair of the Butler County Democratic Party. My involvement within the community extends to the Sons of the Amvets, Post 71 where I have held offices of Chaplain, Finance Officer, and currently Second Vice Commander. I also serve as Assistant Scout Den Leader to my son's Webelo den. A strong sense of service to others, and civic representation for working families will be strong themes throughout my upcoming campaign this year. Your support at the polls in November will assure that the people of Butler and Preble counties are represented in the State Senate. |
