The International Baccalaureate (IB)Program is a comrpehensive and rigorous two-year curriculumThe IB program is generally compatible to our exisiting CP Program..different exams..maybe some enhancement required..! The student who satisfies the demands of the IB Program,demonstrates a strong commitment to learning,both in the mastery of content and the development of the skills and discipline necessary for success in a competitive world. Curriculum: Language A1- English , including the study of selections from World Literature;LanguageB-a second language;Individuals and Societies-History, Philosophy, Psychology,Geography,Economics,Social Anthropology, Business and Organization ;ExperimentalSciences-Biology,Chemistry, General Chemistry, Applied Chemistry, Physics, Environmental Systems, Design technology, Physical and Chemical Systems; Mathematics-Mathematics, Mathematical Methods , Mathematical Studies,Advanced Mathematics; Electives-Art/Design, Music, Latin, Classical Greek, Computing Studies, Advanced Mathematics,a second subject from the humanities or the sciences, a third modern language, a school-based syllabus approved by the IB. NOTE: All IB Diploma Candidates are required to offer one subject from each of the above six groups. At least three and not more than four of the six subjects are taken at the Higher level, the others at the subsidiary level. Each examimed subject is graded on a scale of 1(minimum)to 7(maximum). The diploma Requires a minimum of 24 points and the satisfactory completion of three additional requirements; the extended Essay of some 4000 words, which provides the experience of the independent research paper; a course entitled Theory of Knowledge, which explores the relationships among the various disciplines and ensures the students engage in critical reflection and analysis of the knowledge acquired within and outside the classrroom; the compulsory participation in extracurricular and community service activities. Students that do not satisfy the requiremnts of the full program are awarded a cerificate for the examinations completed...The program enhances the accadenic image of the high school..for all students..enrolled in the program or not...community members will also take more pride in the apparent excellence of the course of study offered. A significant number of IB Graduates have earned admission to Stanford, Harvard, Columbia, Yale Princeton, Brown and countless other Universities world wide...Obviously nothing comes about without the commitment and hard work of the faculty..and they should be justly compensated for all their efforts should the IB Program become a reality..Let's leaders in secondary education.Do your magic vote for Rajcic. |
