Rebuild the antiquated Fire Station in Soquel

Provide a new facility to replace one that is old.
The fire station located at 4747 Soquel Drive is over 30 years old and was built by and for volunteers. The station currently has one bedroom for three firefighter, and was damaged during the Loma Preita earthquake. The building has long served the community of Soquel and will remain at it's present location. With the rebuilding of the Soquel bridge, the county will remove approximately ten feet from the front of the station creating a safety hazard to the fireman and the public. With the rebuilding of this station, we could set the new station back, Bring it up to current earthquake standards, and provide adequate facilities to serve the firefighters and residence for the next thirty years.
