An Election Update

I would like to thank all of you who have shared your thoughts and concerns with me during this campaign. It has provided me with much insight and understanding of your vision for Los Altos Hills. I will lead us forward into the new millennium with a renewed sense of civic fairness and harmony.

I would like to thank all of you who have shared your thoughts and concerns with me during this campaign. It has provided me with much insight and understanding of your vision for Los Altos Hills. I will lead us forward into the new millennium with a renewed sense of civic fairness and harmony. Below are my goals, qualifications and experience.

I would be honored to have your vote on November 7th!

Evan's Goals:

• Create a more friendly and fair planning process by objectively and consistently applying Town ordinances and municipal codes and avoid subjectivity. By doing this we can eliminate the divisiveness that has come about from lobbying our Council members and Planning Commissioners, which so characterized our community for the past decade

• Support existing ordinances and facilitate changes, if needed, directed by the majority of residents, not the vocal minority, to meet our collective vision for the future

• Focus on 21st Century services and infrastructure needed by our Town such as broadband Internet connectivity, underground utilities, improved drainage systems, and templates for sewer connectivity

• Make off-road (backyard) paths voluntary, rather than mandatory

• Update the General Plan to reflect the views of the majority of residents

• Facilitate resident input by televising City Council meetings, supporting Town-wide surveys, and listening closely to residents' concerns

• Information Systems Committee where I spearheaded plans to televise City Council and Planning Commission meetings. I also participate in strategic planning of undergrounding utilities and bringing broadband Internet connectivity to our Town

• Former President of the Los Altos Hills Civic Association, with a mission of encouraging friendship and increasing resident knowledge and involvement in Town government

• Current Member of the Los Altos Hills Land Use Elements Committee

• Personal experience with the planning process when my wife and I recently built in Town, providing me with extensive knowledge of the Town's municipal codes and ordinances

• Current Chief Financial Officer Eden Emergency Medical Group, Inc., since 1992

• Seventeen years as an emergency room physician

• Committee chair and team leader on volunteer hospital committees
