Candidate for
Mayor; City of Milpitas

The best experience is that I have served as the Mayor of the City of Milpitas for two consecutive terms. When combined with my total public sector experience as a City Councilman, County Transportation Commissioner, City Planning Commissioner, Community Advisory Commissioner, and Mobile Home Rent Review Board Chair, my record totals over 12 years of active civic involvement. Having the opportunity to work from the grassroots level, and continuing to expand my roles in public service, has equipped me with the necessary tools and understanding of how government operates. More importantly, my involvement on a regional basis will help Milpitas get its fair share of resources and assure that we are invited to particpate on key issues that affect the quality of life in Milpitas.

I also believe my extensive business experience in the private sector is a significant asset. My experience includes finance, real estate, hi-technology and investment banking, both domestic and international. I have always believed in running government as a business. Being able to integrate business practices into public policy has been an exciting and rewarding experience.
