Candidate for
Director; Mid-Peninsula Regional Open Space District; Ward 3

I received both a Bachelor of Arts and a Master's Degree in Social Sciences from San Jose State University. I have taught in this field at Sunnyvale Middle School for thirty-four years.

As a resident of Sunnyvale since 1968 I had the privilege of voting in the election which formed the Midpeninsula Regional Open Space District in 1972. Since then,I have spent a good deal of time in the different preserves on my own, with my family and friends,as well as in the company of field staff while they perform their duties.

If Re-elected, I will return to the Board of Directors with over twenty-five years of negotiating experience and look forward to bringing to fruition the expansion of the District's boundaries allowing us to help in the managing of coastal lands for future generations.

I look forward to continuing my participation in the Board's decision making process and to bringing a long range perspective when making these important decisions.
