This information is provided by the candidate |
This is my official candidate statementI seek a seat on the Santa Ana City Council to ensure a continued voice for our neighborhoods. Our City stands at the brink of genuine progress; we must have the courage to stay the course. Neighborhood associations have fueled Santa Ana's recovery. Our diverse communities united to demand higher standards from our city departments and our leaders. Now, we must apply the standards that created the best Police and Fire Departments in Orange County to our school system and our city's image. To accomplish these goals, I pledge to manage the city's resources in the most productive ways. My civic memberships include Board Member of Discovery Museum of Orange County, former Board Member and President of the Alternative Repertory Theatre, Recipient of Neighborhood Hero Award presented by Santa Ana's Communication Linkage Forum, Secretary of the Washington Square Neighborhood Association for eight years, Chair of Washington Square Home Tours 1992-1994 and Co-Chair and Committee Member of numerous neighborhood events. Born and raised in Santa Ana, I attended Santa Ana public schools, graduated from Santa Ana Valley High School and Santa Ana College, earning my degree in Business. My husband Tom and I have resided in our home in Washington Square since 1972. Please visit me on-line at Lutz2000.com. |
