This is an important election! Take the time to learn about the candidates and don't forget to VOTE on November 7th
I am a teacher, a communicator and a community builder. An independent businesswoman, I bring a wealth of creativity and new ideas to my leadership roles, and the organizational and strategic capabilities to make things happen. I care about our community and I believe we cannot afford to waste our opportunities as we grow toward our future. For 30 years we have focused on Irvine's physical evolution. Now it is time to ensure that our sense of community evolves as well. I am proud of our diversity--and want to ensure that all voices are welcome as we address our municipal priorities.

There are eleven (11) candidates running for three (3) seats on the City Council. Three candidates, myself, Planning Commissioner Chris Mears and Transportation Commissioner Anthony Dragun are unified on the key issues facing Irvine:

€Stopping the Airport at El Toro-a bad plan designed to serve special interests at the expense of our quality of life

€Building a "Great Park" at El Toro...a complex of parks, trees, museums, cultural venues...for the enjoyment of all Orange County residents

€Ensuring that the Musick Jail does not become the largest County Jail in California

€Seeking solutions to ensure that our schools remain strong

€Creating a responsive government that reaches out to all segments of our diverse and growing community

Irvine voters will cast three (3) votes in the upcoming election. I believe that our public officials must demonstrate leadership, advocacy and accountability. Our incumbents have had their opportunity to serve. We need new voices in City Government--representatives who make community interests, not special interests, a priority.

Thank you for caring enough about the future of our city to learn about the candidates.
