Strengthen the Educational System in IrvineBy Kenneth L. "Ken" HansenCandidate for Member, City Council; City of Irvine | |
This information is provided by the candidate |
Irvine Schools and Students require assistance from all public entitiesIn 1999 the Irvine Unified School District experienced a major budget deficiency, undermining the reputation of the District and education of our children. This must be resolved as one of Irvine's most cooperative efforts within the community. The City must continue to support the schools with the necessary library system, athletic facilities and cooperative programs through the Excellence in Education Committee. I believe the incorporation of new technology must be integrated into the schools in Irvine. The City houses some the most advanced technology companies in the world and these companies can be encourgared to partner with the school district, the City and community groups to insure our children can obtain the finest education available. |
