Deborah Will Fight to Make Sure That Your Tax Dollars Are Not Wasted. Our representatives in Sacramento have the responsibility to us, as taxpayers, to spend our money wisely. The Legislature must provide sound fiscal leadership. Deborah knows that a return to responsible spending is only the first step. Deborah wants to keep a lid on taxes so that we an sustain and improve our thriving economy. As Mayor of Foster City, Deborah Wilder has worked to improve private/public partnerships that will bring about additions such as a new pool, theater, auditorium, and more classrooms. Deborah's efforts are providing increased services to her constituients without raising taxes. Deborah will now use these skills in Sacramento to provide these benefits on a Statewide level. Deborah also wants to abolish practices such as unfunded mandates and programs like ERAF, which reduces the funds that were meant for cities, counties and libraries. Legislators are elected to make tough budgetary decisions, and not to pass these problems along to local governments. As your Assemblywoman, Deborah will make these tough decisions. |
