I also am a part-time instructor in the Department of Communication at Santa Barbara City College. I hope I can count on your vote for Santa Barbara County Republican Central Committee, District #2. As a resident of Santa Barbara County and a lifelong Republican, I am Chris Mithcum's Ex Officio Alternate on the County Central Committee. Formerly, I served as a voting member representing the 2nd District. I serve as the Communications Director for the Central Committee and am responsible for developing the County Party's website, http://www.santabarbaragop.org. My involvement in local Republican politics also includes my leadership position in G.A.L.S. Republican Women's Club, Federated, and volunteering many hours for numerous political candidates, including Chris Mitchum, Jeanne Graffy, Joni Gray, Mike Stoker, and Brooks Firestone. I have worked on GOTV (Get Out the Vote) efforts, voter registration drives, phone banks, and precinct walks for all of these candidates. In addition, I am secretary of the Moderate Republican Majority of Santa Barbara County and Voter Registration/Education Chair of the Santa Barbara County Republican Women, Federated. And, I have provided consulting and research services to Beth Rogers and the Seneca Network, an organization dedicated to the promotion and election of Republican women. I am very grateful for all of the support that I have received here in Santa Barbara -- especially from the Republican community. I plan to continue to devote my energy, efforts, and skills to promoting our Party and working for our candidates. I'd appreciate the opportunity to continue the work I've started on the Central Committee toward (1) developing and supporting candidates, (2) spreading the Republican message in new ways, and (3) registering and educating Republican voters. |
