TRANSPORTATION

Candidate for Mayor; City of Bakersfield

WE NEED TO FIX OUR HIGHWAYS NOW.
Finally: transportation, namely roads and highways. Bakersfield is in throws of a major traffic crisis. What will happen when the population increases by 50,000 over the next ten years? We need to begin drawing up plans that will alleviate the traffic problem, and we need to start now. Bakersfield needs to make tough decisions today to combat the traffic problems of tomarrow. We cannot sit idly on the fence any more. If we do not take immediate action we will be faced with a problem much greater than the one we currently face. Consider this the next time you are driving to work, school, church, or your favorite store. Then, imagine the roads being occupied by 50,000 more motorists. We must do something NOW.
