-Who I am-
As a lifelong resident, I am fortunate to call Brisbane my hometown. Growing up in Brisbane afforded me the opportunity to receive a Brisbane School District education, the ability to perform for Brisbane Dance Workshop, and the experience of being a steward of San Bruno Mountain and the lagoon. I am a graduate of San Francisco State University with a B.S. in Business Administration and work at a tech startup consulting small business owners about marketing.
-Why I'm Qualified-
Growing up in Brisbane has shaped the person I am today. As a former Silverspot Nursery School substitute teacher and aide, I understand how essential it is to keep Brisbane safe, develop constructive outlets for our youth, and provide services for young families. I work to improve our community as a San Mateo County Court Appointed Special Advocate for foster care children and as a board member for Brisbane Dance Workshop. I also serve Brisbane on the Parks and Recreation Commission and work diligently to improve programming and services, while striving to make our Brisbane traditions relevant for future generations.
-What I Bring to the Table-
I have a proven ability to work efficiently and collaboratively with our city's staff and my fellow colleagues. As a commissioner I have demonstrated the ability to formulate an idea, research its viability, establish a subcommittee, plan a course of action, ultimately bringing the idea to life. My ability to determine a common ground, develop solutions, analyze information objectively, and think independently will be an asset to the city council as we face crucial decisions regarding our future.
-My Vision-
Brisbane arose from a spirit of self-determination and independence. Today, we are faced with challenges that require us to maintain this same level of strength and commitment to our city. At the Baylands, I support development that is sustainable, will improve our financial health, incorporates renewable energy, and is safe for future generations to enjoy. I oppose housing at the Baylands due to the land's toxicity and will not risk people's health. As I look to the future, I am committed to advocating for our aging population by supporting programs that help people age comfortably in their homes. I also stand behind revitalizing Crocker Park so it may be better utilized and creating an environment where our businesses can flourish.
-Request-
Together we are facing major issues as a city and we need someone who understands Brisbane's traditions and values while also brining to the table a fresh perspective. With your support, I will continue striving to make Brisbane a special place. I would be honored to serve you as a city council member and respectfully ask for your vote.
