Responsible growth while respecting our history and our residents
I participated in the numerous public discussions from which our Downtown Precise Plan 1 evolved. The vibrancy of our economy accelerated the development of many projects all that fell under the guidance of the Precise Plan. I believe now is a good time to revisit that Plan. Height, architect, community character, parking. How is this plan fitting into our community. Let's celebrate the successes and revisit the challenges.Everyday I hear of parking and overall traffic difficulties. I support studying a good location for a municipal garage. I would support the discussion of a commuter lot close to 280 with shuttle service to downtown. The lack of parking has caused neighborhood spillover. This has created a neighborhood parking issue.
We have a rich history and we should protect that at all cost.
Our PP laid out the details for development in the downtown. Did we get it right? Is this what the community envisioned? Height, size, placement, traffic, parking, water? This was a community base protect, I would support bringing it back to the community.
