WATER CONSERVATION

Both City government and residents have done a great deal to preserve precious water resources. The City sponsored website http://www.SanMateoInsider.org has additional tools available. The City will continue to adopt and implement water strategies to reduce excess city water use and increase recycled and reusable water.

PUBLIC SAFETY

One of our most important city services is public safety. Police and Fire employees shared the load with reduced salaries and deferred raises when our City struggled through the economic downturn. Today, we are working with all city employees to provide a fair and living wage + so they can continue living in San Mateo and we can retain the best and brightest.
