Political Philosophy for Anthony "Fel" Amistad
Candidate for |
I am running first and foremost for our student learners. They come from all walks of life and they deserve the best! I want to be accountable to our citizens and an advocate for high quality college education for all our learners! As a governing board member, I will work with my district colleagues so that decisions and actions rendered advance the interests of students and the presentation of curriculum and (2) actions rendered will protect the fiduciary responsibility by stewarding well and acting prudently with the funds provided by the community. College education should be available for all working adults and student learners in order to advance society's mission and democratic ideals. Our goal as college trustees is to ensure this successful transition for our high school and college students, who wish to advance to higher education. We should also make our community college available for vocational and skills improvement. College must be affordable and accessible. Our goal is to stay politically active so the needs of the community can be met and all voices from the diverse segments of our County can be heard. As your public servant, I will ensure the best for our student learners and community. |
