Putting Children First! The Antelope Valley has been my home since 1973. I am proud to bring a lifetime of dedication to our schools as a PTA President, School Bond Committee Member, Lancaster Education Foundation member and High School Board Trustee. During my service as a Board Trustee, I have always worked to "put our children first" by bringing integrity and accountability to the High School District. My priorities include: Quality Education--Support higher teaching standards and greater emphasis on academic fundamentals like STEM in our classrooms. Promote innovative early college education programs for students like SOAR High School and the Knight Academy that are winning national honors for academic excellence. Integrity--Support stronger Ethical Policies for High School Board Members, teachers and school employees. Safe Schools--Require all staff and students to carry photo ID on campus. Work closely with our Sheriff's Deputies to prevent gang activity and keep drugs away from students. Endorsed by our County Professional Peace Officers. Fiscal Responsibility--Support local control of our High Schools to reduce bureaucracy and ensure that our tax dollars are used in the classroom. Thank you for the opportunity to serve as Your Independent Voice for Accountability on the Antelope Valley High School Board. |
