We must restore the reputation of our district that has been severely tarnished in recent years.
We have had far too many negative articles related to our district in recent years. It seems we're always reading about negative issues such as problems with the oil well or the Metro controversy or the closing of our auditoriums and most recently the arsenic issue. Our messaging must change. Last year at the high school, we had 7 programs compete at the state level or higher. Our Academic Decathlon, DECA, Boys Basketball to name a few. We should be highlighting and sharing with our community all of the great accomplishments of our students. The only way to attract the best and brightest is to celebrate our successes and have pride in efforts. We must change our messaging and always put our students first.
