SUPPORT LOCAL CONTROL Fiscal responsibility is a priority. I will work to ensure implementation of and support the Local Control Accountability Plan so that stakeholders can make decisions and place resources in the areas that will improve outcomes for students SUPPORT and EMPOWER TEACHERS and STAFF Teachers are the backbone of the district and classified do the essential work that keep our schools running. I will work to empower teachers, provide decision-making opportunities in teacher-driven classrooms, excellent professional development and working conditions, and continues to fight for salary increase SUPPORT PARENTS AS PARTNERS I will make parent partnerships a priority to unite schools in a common vision for success of every child. I will empower parents to ask the right questions to ensure their child is being challenged academically with the right courses SUPPORT HIGH QUALITY OPTIONS FOR ALL Quality education is not a privilege of affluent zip codes; students, families and the community deserve high quality schools in every neighborhood. I will work to increase magnet schools, pilot schools, and make the Visual and Performing Arts School in Pico Rivera a reality. |
