I have worked as an advocate for teachers and better schools for more than a decade. As host of the "For Great Schools" interview series and co-founder of United Parents of Culver City, I have developed strong relationships with our district leaders. I understand our district's strengths and challenges. Next year, my daughter enters Culver City Middle School. With this background I have the knowledge, deep personal commitment and urgency needed to work with our district leaders to make our schools great now.

We will accomplish this by providing students with:

- challenging curriculum & non-classroom activities

- daily parent updates to encourage partnership in their child's success

- modern learning environments.

My additional priorities are:

- creating more Culver City High School Career Path Academies for science, technology, trades, entrepreneurship & leadership in public service.

- providing teachers with the resources & professional development to inspire all students

- improving campus safety

- using bond funds to modernize our campuses without delays.

I'm eager to join our Board of Education and administrative team in working effectively toward educational excellence. I promise you the teamwork, advocacy and dedication needed to ensure that EVERY Culver City student attends Great Schools.
