MY PRIORITIES ARE:

FISCAL RESPONSIBILITY +When you are elected and sworn to protect the city, it is your responsibility to protect the city's budget. As an elected councilwoman, I pledge to carry out my duties to protect the city assets by monitoring and making sure we as a body are being fiscally responsible when it comes to the city budget.

PUBLIC SAFETY + Safe neighborhoods lead to stronger home values and attract businesses. As a former Parks and Recreation Commissioner, I worked to make our parks safer by building relationships between our police and the communities they serve and I brought more services to the Hawthorne residents. I will continue my dedication to ensuring that our children have safer parks to play in and that our neighborhoods are protected.

ECONOMIC & JOB DEVELOPMENT + My work as a bookkeeper and realtor for 20 years has allowed me to interact with many sectors of our business community. Through my work and ties in Hawthorne and surrounding cities, I know that we can strengthen our economic base by focusing on: transportation jobs; expanding manufacturing; and taking advantage of the city of Inglewood capital improvement projects to support our revenue growth.

EDUCATION + A strong education system supports economic growth and stability. Through my experiences as a community leader, LA Sparks Ambassador, which empowers children and as President of the Holly Park Homeowners' Association, I have seen where we can expand parental involvement as well as offering enriching after school programs are critical elements of a quality educational program. I will work with local and state school officials on these and other issues to strengthen Hawthorne's schools.
