While Glendale grows and thrives, GCC is struggling. Over the last 8 years enrollment is down 25% and it's no wonder why. GCC students can't get the classes they need to graduate on time. Education shouldn't be delayed because students can't get a seat in the classes they need to graduate.
- More Classes:
Improve access to high-demand core classes.
Make sure the budget directs maximum funding to increased access and number of required core courses. Offer more online resources for courses most suited to that option. Work with employers to build internship and mentoring opportunities.
- Reverse declining enrollment to grow future state funding.
- Spend Smarter to maximize student persistence and success rates.
