Jobs GrowthBy Alice YoderCandidate for State Representative; Pennsylvania State House of Representatives; District 41 | |
This information is provided by the candidate |
Advocating for job creation through investment and modernization of our infrastructure, additionally emphasizing prevention. The ideal is that we find a job so well suited that we never have to "work" a day in our life. We get up in the morning and love what we do so much that it never feels like work. Having a job gives people a sense of self-worth: the feeling that you are contributing to society and being rewarded by your employer with a livable wage. I want that for everyone in our community. Stimulating job growth will be a priority for me. I will advocate for job creation through investment and modernization of our infrastructure. That means rebuilding failing bridges and roads, improving public transit, and creating more walkable/bikeable communities. This continues the theme of prevention. Our infrastructure has been neglected for so many years, it will take some time to catch up and get it where it needs to be. But once we do, we must maintain those roads and bridges and transit systems in a state of good repair. Timely maintenance and repair spares our children from paying for costly "major surgery" because of our neglect. |
