This information is provided by the candidate

Born and raised in York Township, Scott Wagner is a lifelong resident of York County. Growing up on a farm, Scott learned the value of hard work, self-reliance and risk taking. After graduating from Dallastown Area High School, Scott enrolled in college. However, after one year of college, he realized he enjoyed working vs. sitting in a classroom. At 20, Scott started his first small business and never looked back. Over the last 37 years, he has worked with and led numerous businesses in diverse sectors of the economy helping to improve companies and create economic opportunity.

Scott is the President and owner of York-based Penn Waste, Inc. and KBS Trucking in Thomasville, Pennsylvania.

In addition to being a small business owner, Scott has been supporting conservative causes and campaigns for the past 30 years. Understanding the important impact that small businesses have on our local communities, Scott began heavily advocating for small business in Harrisburg several years ago. He has since been educating our government officials on how bad public policy hurts small businesses and our economy, while offering solutions and reforms that would benefit both.

Scott's occupation and his involvement in the non-profit community have allowed him to meet thousands of residents in York County. It has given him the opportunity to hear the life stories of others who have also had to deal with State Government.

Scott's goal is to take these experiences and stories with him to Harrisburg and use them to form common sense solutions to the issues constituents in the 28th District face every day.

On March 18, 2014, Scott was elected to fill the remainder of the term left vacant by former State Senator Mike Waugh. Scott ran as a write-in Republican candidate in that election.Scott is currently serving out the remainder of the term and is running for reelection to a full + four year term. He asks for your support on Tuesday, November 4, 2014.
