Candidate for
State Representative; Pennsylvania State House of Representatives; District 105

Kelly is a native of Ohio and has been a resident of Pennsylvania since 2005 and of Dauphin County since 2009. She is a graduate of the Ohio State University College of Engineering with a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering. Her earlier studies include an Associate of Applied Science degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology. Her current employment is with a local developer, manufacturer, and marketer of electronic and optoelectronic connectors, antennas, acoustic components, cables and modules for applications in computers, communication equipment, consumer electronics, automobiles, industrial and green energy field products.

With a unique resume for politics, her quality management background in both engineering services and manufacturing qualifies her in areas such as organizational change management, process improvement, and instituting practical business-based initiatives that simplify problem-solving. She has big picture vision and a results-driven perspective.

Kelly is an active volunteer in support for Survivors of suicide loss, facilitating two monthly peer-to-peer support groups. She also volunteers as a legislative advocate for suicide prevention and mental health at the state and federal levels and with statewide and national suicide prevention organizations. Her volunteer work with others was key to the passage of HB 1559 which will provide a framework for suicide prevention in our schools.

Kelly is an active Charter Member and current Vice President of the Linglestown Area Civic Association, serving the Linglestown area through road clean up, village beautification, and events that bring the community together.

Kelly and her spouse, Angela Dicks, were legally married in Washington, DC, in July of 2013 after several years living and raising their sons together. They reside in Linglestown with their many rescue pets - eight cats and one very outnumbered dog. Their two young adult sons live in the Harrisburg area.

Kelly's parents live in Ohio and North Carolina, her four sisters and their families are in Ohio, and her brother and his family are in Upstate New York. She is extremely proud of her siblings and the continued academic, athletic, and personal accomplishments of her 17 nieces and nephews, the oldest a junior at the Albany College of Pharmacy and the youngest nearly two years old.
