The additional funds that are coming from the state; while more funds than previous years is not actually new funding, but the restoration of funds that have been taken away over the years. This funding allows the district to continue necessary programs that have become the financial burden of our parents through the PTO's and put them back on the district allowing these PTO's to use their funds elsewhere. With these new funds, Oak Park Unified School District has been able to add Physical Education teachers, maintain existing programs, while also adding an additional nurse and counselor. These additions are key to supporting the wellness philosophy of the district, while nurturing a healthy environment for all students. |
