Council Member; City of East Palo Alto

Education and Qualifications:

I have lived in this Community for 45 years. I have been actively involved in my community as a volunteer, a former School Board Member for 3 terms, and a City Council Member for 2 terms. As a School Board Member I served both as the President, and Vice-President of the Ravenswood School District. I have also had the pleasure of serving as the Mayor and Vice-Mayor for this wonderful community.
In December of 2013 I was appointed by the Council to complete the remaining term for a former Council Member. Since taking the seat, I have come to realize there is urgent work that warrants my attention. If elected I will use my experience and skills to keep residents knowledgeable regarding decisions I make on their behalf. I will work hard to make decisions that are appropriate for creating a better community for Seniors, our Youth, and Families.
