Healthcare Districts, as authorized by the California State legislation, are essential elements for the health and welfare of our communities.

Recent Grand Juries have support the efforts of the District, although they also felt that more should be done to keep the public informed as to what the District is doing. I agree and the District is making great strides to comply.

To disband the District would harm thousands of recipients of needed health support. That would be a mistake.

Some people have said that they would prefer to give their money to charities which they choose rather than have it paid out of their taxes. That would be fine if people did support the healthcare efforts. However, that hasn't happened and our community needs the support of the District.
