Full Biography for Elizabeth A. Bredall
Candidate for |
Biography Elizabeth did not stay long on the tomato farm in Tracy, California where she was born. Her parents joined the Peace Corps in 1970 and as a "Peace Corps Kid" she spent several years in West Africa - Liberia and Morocco. She was also an AFS exchange student in Borneo, Indonesia. After attending Santa Ynez High School in Solvang, California she graduated from UCLA with a BA Degree in Psychology. She went on to work at the Hotel Bel-Air in Los Angeles and the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in San Francisco in both the Food & Beverage and Sales & Marketing Departments. Instrumental music has been part of her life since 4th grade, so joining the Pacifica Education Foundation (PEF) Board to Chair the Appropriations Sub-Committee for MMiP (Music Matters in Pacifica) seemed a natural fit. Elizabeth is a Founding Member of Music Matters in Pacifica - inspired by having played trumpet throughout her school years, competing in Jazz Band during High School and performing with the UCLA Solid Gold Sound Marching Band in the Pasadena Rose Parade and Rose Bowl games. She still enjoys world travel and feels strongly that exposure to other cultures broadens one's outlook on life. She and her entire family have traveled extensively throughout Europe, Asia, Africa, and Central America. Elizabeth and her husband Bill moved to Pacifica 26 years ago from Los Angeles. She has worked for Holy Angeles School in Colma for the past 20 years. Bill has worked as an Engineering Manager for Apple, Inc. for the past 15 years "commuting" from Cupertino to Asia on a bi-monthly basis. They have three children. Sarah attends Humboldt State University majoring in Microbiology. Mark attends Seattle University and John attends Terra Nova High School. Both boys are Eagle Scouts with Boy Scout Troop 256. The whole family is very active in the community. |
