It's been an honor to serve this past term on the Del Mar Union School District's Board of Trustees. As a Trustee, I have helped regain DMUSD's status as one of the best school districts in the state.

I WANT TO FINISH WHAT I BEGAN!

In the last four years: We established long-range goals and collaborative strategic planning. Unveiled 21st Century learning curriculums. Implemented financially responsible decision-making. Balanced the District's Budget. Recognized the Board's role. Supported and enabled the expertise of professional staff. Unified and communicated with the community, in an era of transparency. Regained the trust necessary for the Board's ability to work with stakeholders. Smoothly transitioned to common core.

LEADERSHIP: Attorney/mediator advised numerous individuals, businesses, and boards of directors of successful courses of action.

President/DMUSD School Board two of the last four years.

Attended California School Board Association's Master's in Governance Program

Education: B.A. Speech/Communication, CSU, Northridge; Law degree, Thomas Jefferson School of Law. Admitted to California State Bar in 1992; Mediation training, Pepperdine, Law School, Straus Institute of Dispute Resolution; NCRC Advanced Mediation Training Background: Married 23 years to Sandy, with three children all of whom attended DMUSD. Carmel Valley resident since 2002.
