It's time for a new voice and vision in Escondido.

Consuelo Martinez grew up in Escondido and, as a 31-year resident, she has witnessed the neglect of our neighborhoods, the closing of an essential local library, decreased recreation opportunities and a disconnect between families and City Hall.

Consuelo Martinez believes we deserve better. Escondido residents need to be heard and represented by an accountable and transparent leader on the City Council.

Consuelo stands for: safe, walkable, prosperous neighborhoods; a business-friendly environment; smart economic growth that pays its own way; community policing that keeps us safe; and adequate libraries, parks, and open spaces necessary to create a dynamic community.

Consuelo has the skills, education, and work ethic to better serve all our residents. She holds degrees from Palomar College and CSU San Marcos. Consuelo has experience in legal, finance and banking both in the corporate and nonprofit areas. Consuelo served as a Commissioner on the Escondido Community Services Commission and the Former Escondido Police Chief's Community Advisory Board.

Consuelo will take care of our seniors and invest in our youth for a stronger Escondido. Vote for change in Escondido - Consuelo Martinez for City Council District 1. http://www.consuelomartinez.com
