Tony Kranz: Deep roots in our community Tony Kranz has lived in Encinitas since 1960, graduating from San Dieguito High School, and continuing his studies in the graphic arts at Palomar College and Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. He works in the printing industry and continues to pursue his interests in photography. Tony is married to Cynthia Blodgett and they have three grown children. Tony's involvement in the community includes 10 years of service as an air traffic controller in the Army National Guard. He's a former board member of the Encinitas Historical Society and the Leucadia-Encinitas Town Council, and was on the Athletic Council at San Dieguito Academy while his children were participating in sports at the school. He's worked to make the community more accessible for residents to bike or walk to their local destinations as a strong advocate and leader for the North 101 Streetscape project and for improvements to Leucadia Boulevard west of I-5.
