Political Philosophy for Lan Elizabeth Jefferson
Candidate for |
||||
|
I am mainly running for the San Diego Community College District Board of Trustees because I am passionate about becoming a policymaker and making policies for women and children to improve the quality of their lives. Making policies at a local level through education, employment, economic, health and housing policies allows me to accomplish this goal. Education with the San Diego Community College District Board is a perfect way to accomplish more than one goal at a time and sometimes a lot quicker. My passion can be summarized ultimately in three main points: 1) I believe we need more quality women on Boards and in office
- I am qualified because I have a Master's in Social Work covering public policy and social and economic development, I understand how good policies are made 2) I believe we need more diversity on the San Diego Community College District Board of Trustees
- As am African American and Vietnamese woman, I would reflect and represent the San Diego Community College District student body (can relate to challenges some of the student body face every day) 3) I believe we need more change at the San Diego Community College District
- Sometimes you have to do something different to get different or better results |
