Dave's background, experience and goals.

I was fortunate to serve as Superintendent of Schools for the Vista Unified School District from 1998 until I retired from that post in 2006.  During those years I had the opportunity to work closely with the City of Vista and interact with many people throughout the Community.  I have been an active member of many service clubs and community organizations in Vista.  I continue to serve as a board member for the Vista Community Clinic and continue to support our local service clubs and the Moonlight Foundation.  My affiliation with all of these groups has allowed me to meet and know people from all segments of our community and to understand their many views, both good and bad, about our City.  I believe these experiences will allow me to continue to serve as your representative to our city to meet the many new challenges to secure Vista's bright future.

Now that we have successfully addressed past budget challenges, we must direct future expenditures to support a sustainable City.  Our streets, lighting and extensive plumbing systems cannot be left to deteriorate and break down.  We must keep our Fire Department and Deputy Sheriff's armed with the best equipment and personnel to ensure the safety and quality of life in our City.  I will continue to work with community and neighborhood groups to assure smart and responsible growth for Vista.

I would be honored to receive your support in this election and will work my best to make Vista the most valuable City in San Diego County.
