1. What experience and training would you bring to this office?
- Directed self-support UC "business" at 30% margin
- Directed multimillion UC online course development
- Taught at Foothill-De Anza for 30 years
- Groomed in professional business at IBM International
2. What do you see as the role of the Board in labor negotiations?
- Responsible first to taxpaying communities
- Supporting contract terms that advance college initiatives
- Assuring fairness in both monetary and non-monetary arenas
- Advocating for long-term fiscal resilience
3. What are your goals for the college? Are students, faulty and staff currently meeting those goals?
- Intensify student recruitment and retention programs by emulating successful models.
- Restructure basic skills programming away from a deficit model (you're not ready yet) toward a coaching model (here's specifically what you need to succeed).
- Revisit curriculum in terms of the experience of high school graduates with the new Common Core Curriculum.
