There are three goals stated by the Morongo Unified School District School Board: Student Achievement, Framework of Support for the Instructional Program, Community Involvement.

Student achievement can be enhanced upon by working with principals, which I already do and plan to continue. Giving more freedom to students to choose their electives and schedules will enhance achievement. For example; change the limited option experienced at 29 Palm High were students have to participate in choir, because of scheduling conflicts. Not every student wants to participate in choir. Students will perform better because they are personally invested in their own academic paths.

Multimedia is another area I have experience in and can help influence parent involvement. How awesome would it be to have virtual forums once a month with principals or school district representatives? How productive would it be to have the ability to participate in a question and answers period about a school's performance vice some hard to read report? How would you like the ability to do all of this on your schedule? This can happen with little to no cost to the school with great benefits to all.

The Framework of Support for Instructional Programs could be improved. The District has encountered some serious hardships with retention of students and teachers. Teachers must have input in any process that may affect their ability to teach students. Doing so will add in retention of both. The district's Illuminate program, without placing blame, could have been implemented better. I have worked on many fielding projects. Sufficient training, established resolution processes, and an overall informational campaign for the parents, teachers, and staff on the process could have limited or eliminated many of the concerns and issues.

Community involvement is a key pillar in my campaign. There is no better support system than community backing. One method of gathering support is by School Board Members being reachable.

I am a public servant with a record that proves it. I am dedicated to this community and providing the best service I can for the people in it. I am always available to listen and help where I can.
