We have a strong foundation on which to build the Temecula of tomorrow. The decisions we make today can preserve the City's distinctive character and ensure a vibrant future. Business development, educational institutions and strong City leaders can work together to ensure a prosperous future for Temecula. The development of these partnerships can foster the kind of growth we want here in Temecula with some very important outcomes: A partnership between the City, local businesses, and our colleges/universities can stimulate innovation, entrepreneurship and economic growth Targeting key areas for growth and innovation in partnership with our local businesses can help grow tourism Degree and certificate programs can serve as a pipeline into local businesses, fostering entrepreneurs, and supporting local governments and agencies Our City and education institutions can work collaboratively with our local schools to stimulate community partnerships that enhance our children's education and prepare them for post-secondary education. This is particularly important in the fields of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics Creating partnerships such as these can also support local music and performing arts programs, fostering a culture of creativity and expression This partnership can serve as an anchor in our community, creating new opportunities for employment, business incubators, collaborations that harness the physical, social, and intellectual assets of our City We can use our combined resources to support some of our most important regional industries including tourism and hospitality, museums, agriculture, health care, technology, energy, and water resources Dr. Rahn has the experience and history of relationship-building necessary to nurture these extraordinary opportunities and derive these important benefits for Temecula. |
