Madelene Muntz has been a Moreno Valley resident for over twenty-five years. She and her husband of forty-three years, Gerald, a U.S. Army retired sergeant, have raised three children who graduated from Canyon Springs High School and currently have two grandchildren attending the same school. Madelene has been active in her community with the Sunnymead Ranch Homeowners Association, and has been a member of civic organizations, to include Soroptimists International, Rotary International, NAACP, Links Incorporated, Association of Black Correctional Workers, and Association of Chicano Correctional Workers. Madelene has a BS in Special Education, and an MS in Human Resource Management and Organizational Development. Madelene has ten years of experience as an educator, and twenty-one years with California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation as an administrator. She is currently a member of the California Democratic Party Disabilities Caucus, and the African-American Caucus. Collaboration with and positive working opportunities for labor is evidenced by Madelene's membership within CSEA-SEIU Local 1000, ACSS, CCPOA, and CSR.
Madelene Muntz has always incorporated community service into her work and life. Some of her accomplishments include mentoring young women through the Palo Verde High School Young Women's program and creating a Breakfast with Santa Claus program in Riverside County. She currently attends City Council meetings regularly, and works with her children and grand-children to volunteer in the community.
