Candidate for
Council Members to Replace Victoria Baca if Recalled; City of Moreno Valley; Council District 5

Our City needs and deserves a leader who is trustworthy, transparent and will make decisions based on how it affects the quality of life of the residents. I am that leader.

What do I stand for? Regaining the trust of the people by following policies and procedures, establishing law and order and opening the lines of communication with town hall meetings both on the phone and in person.

Restore healthy partnerships with March Joint Powers and the local School Districts. I will start by scheduling meetings between City Council and the School Districts at least 2 times per year, alternating sites. Also, I would request to be placed on the JPA Commission as the City representative to understand the direction we are going.

Create job opportunities by seeking out businesses conducive to doing the following: fill up our vacant warehouses, bring medical and entertainment. Before doing that, we must provide incentives and streamline the permit process to make us more business friendly.

Keep our streets neat and clean. Not only encouraging use of the Graffiti Hotline and implementing a similar Code Compliance Hotline, but personally choosing one section of the City per week, perform a visual inspection and submit my findings with suggestions in writing to the appropriate City Departments.

Promote Neighborhood Watches and the Safe Route to School programs to assist with Public Safety.

In direct response to continuous complaints by the residents that there is nothing to do, establish signature events throughout the year. Establish an Entertainment Commission to solicit ideas and solutions.
