Candidate for
Member, City Council; City of Soledad

Alejandro was elected to the Soledad City Council in November of 2010. He is currently the Vice Mayor or Mayor Pro Tempore. He was appointed by his colleagues in December of 2012 to this position.

He currently serves as the City of Soledad's reoresentative on the Transportation Agency of Monterey County (TAMC). He serves on the TAMC Rail Policy Committee and the TAMC Executive Committee. In addition he serves on the City's Parks and Recreation Committee and also on the City's Revolving Loan Committee. Additionally he attends many of the Monterey County Mayor's Association meetings and the Salinas Valley Mayors Association meetings on behalf of the City of Soledad as well, on occasion, Alejandro attends the Four Cities for Peace meetings to hear updates and give input in the happenings in our region wide prevention, intervention and suppression efforts.

Alejandro and his wife Erica Padilla Chavez are proud to call Soledad home. They are parents of two wonderful children. Alejandro has been a PTA President at Frank Ledesma School, President of South County YMCA and Member of the Board of the Central Coast YMCA. In addition to this he has been a volunteer coach in soccer, baseball and basketball.
