Candidate StatementBy Todd FloraCandidate for Member, Rent Control Board; City of Santa Monica | |
This information is provided by the candidate |
Re-Elect Todd Flora and you'll keep an advocate who is experienced in taking on the bad apple landlords and who wants the Rent Board to do more.Fellow residents, you deserve strong leaders who will take on the bad apples that harass tenants and deny them basic rights and amenities. As the economy improves, and developers covet properties along the Expo line and other transit corridors, these challenges could intensify. That's why I hope you'll support my re-election to the Rent Control Board. My mettle is tested and I'm fully prepared to escalate the fight for existing tenants and their ability to remain in their homes. How can we improve our efforts? As a Board Member, I believe we must:
Advocate for more resources to enable city staff and our nonprofit partners to fully defend the growing number of tenants who require professional, legal support My philosophy is guided by "T.O.D.D.," Tenant-Oriented Decision-making and Deference." Perhaps that's why I'm endorsed by Santa Monicans for Renters Rights. I've stood for you. Please stand with me. Vote Todd Flora for Rent Control Board! |
